Backdating of Stock Options
More than 130 companies have engaged in illegal practices involving the backdating of stock option grants. Whether they backdated or otherwise manipulated the dates, they granted the options to make them more lucrative. This will cause the companies to pay millions of dollars in taxes, regulatory fines and the substantial costs of the investigation.
Shareholders are entitled to file a derivative action on behalf of the company to recover for the Corporation from the responsible parties, to cancel or re-price outstanding options and to put in place corporate governance provisions to ensure that these illegal practices do not occur again in the future.
Whether you believe you lost money or not you may be able to participate and file a derivative action on behalf of the companies involved in option backdating
