Richard J Vita received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame in 1968 and his JD from Boston College Law School in 1972. He began his career as a staff attorney for the Massachusetts Bar Association with primary responsibilities as counsel to the Grievance Committee and the Committee on Judicial Conduct.
He prepared the initial draft of the MBA’s Proposal for the Partial Integration of the Bar. Subsequently the SJC promulgated a court order for the partial integration of the bar for attorney discipline and adopted rules establishing the current Board of Bar Overseers.
He entered private practice of law in 1975 and since that time has been involved in numerous complex state and federal cases. Currently his firm’s practice is limited to class action security fraud, health fraud, consumer fraud and anti trust (price-fixing) cases. In addition, his firm seeks to represent individually any institutions or individuals that have suffered substantial losses in any of these areas. |
